Outlook-Towers

A big attraction for tourists are the outlook-towers in the region of Toulovcovy Maštale. The first was build as an lookout tower on Jarošovský kopec (539 m). The tower is 15.5 m high and constructed from wood. It was built in a traditional manner. It is a dominant feature of the area which does not spoil its character. The view stretches to the surrounding area; but with a good sight or binoculars you can see lso the vicinity of Pardubice, Hradec Králové, and indeed, practically the whole mountain range surrounding the Czech Republic on the north can be viewed from this location. Almost 11,000 people came to visit it in its first year.

In year 2004 the second lookout tower was opened in a local part of Proseč - Paseky, it was named Terezka. It is more than 25 metres high. The view reaches to the surrounding area. In June 2005 a third outlook tower was opened in Hluboká and named Borůvka. It is 18.5 metres high and similarly the view covers the outstanding surrounding area.
