Municipality Association

The municipality association of Toulovcovy Maštale came into existence in February 1999. It is an open alliance of municipalities in the touristically attractive area of Toulovcovy Maštale.
The main purpose of the alliance is to ensure the development of eleven areas of the region; with the emphasis on the tourism and nature conservation. The employment of workers from the local communities is also a key objective.
In this region there are many attractive features and interests for tourists to enjoy. There are areas of beautiful and unspoilt nature; being perfect for recreation and relaxation. Toulovcovy Maštale covers an area of 9,639.77 hectares and has many local communities: Bor u Skutče, Budislav, Hluboká, Jarošov, Leština, Nová Ves, Nové Hrady, Perálec, Poříčí, Proseč and Zderaz.

For several years now the Toulovcovy Maštale has been one of the most popular and most visited destinations in the Czech Republic. This is due to the combination of its outstanding sandstone moulds, with a varied composition and diversity of picturesque reliefs. It also has 1662 kilometres of excellent quality cycling tracks. There are, recent and much improved, complementary services for tourists of all age groups. There are three protected areas in the microregion of Toulovcovy Maštale: The nature reservation Maštale, the nature park The valley of Krounka and Novohradka and the nature sight Pivnice. In the area of Toulovcovy Maštale you can enjoy beautiful and unspoilt nature. Its landscape is not uniform due to various geological conditions of different parts of the area, but here you can find variety in land structure and vegetation with a whole range of protected animals and herbal varieties.
